01 Navigation

Users would lose their way when using the navigation to find certain information. They were confused by navigation labels, hierarchy and hovering state.

02 Home Page

Users expected to learn the council’s programs and services directly from the home page, which was not the case

05 Brand

Although users found the website design to be modern, they expressed that it lacks interaction, engagement and images that provides context.

04 Readibility

Users found some sections to be hard to read and understand due to lack of contrast, font size, etc.

In summary, our objectives were to:

  1. Restructure the website to help users find what they need, understand where they are, and where the information they want is in relation to their position.

  2. Redefine user flows to help users accomplish their tasks faster.

  3. Enhance usability and reduce cognitive overload.

  4. Provide a consistent and seamless experience throughout the website.

Constraint: We were not able to restructure the entirety of the website architecture, and that put a contraint when restructing the navigation, since we are not able to merge pages or or redefine and create new pages
